Big Brother

Jack has always been good with babies. When he was two years old and we brought Gabriel home from the hospital I expected a bit of a transition while Jack got used to no longer being the youngest, but there was none. Jack took Gabriel as his own immediately and still is the one I rely on to look out for him when they are all out playing together.

His gentleness extends to Sebastian as well and he takes delight in talking to him, playing with him, showing him new things and caring for him. If I need someone to occupy Sebastian for a minute, Jack is the one most willing and successful in helping. He especially likes to give Sebastian more Cheerios when his tray is empty and I’m fixing supper, but occasionally he’ll feed him some baby food as well. He is an excellent big brother and a huge help to his momma.

About Wendy McCollum

I am a single mom to five wonderful boys. Life is an adventure, with many twists and turns. We live in hope, always, for our great God can redeem all things. There are so many funny and precious moments that slip by too fast. Perhaps here I can save them for when my own memory fails.

Love all your posts. Were the monkey bars like the one Randy made for you when you were growing up?

Such sweet pictures. We miss all those boys – and will miss them all Saturday at Erin’s party. I need to meet some people with kids 🙂
