Bathroom Adventures

Ever since he first discovered the wonderful room of the bathroom, it has been Sebastian’s favorite room. He quickly located the toilet paper roll and learned how to unroll it at great speed. His next discovery was the toothpaste drawer where caps of toothpaste are often left off by older brothers allowing him to suck on the delicious ends of the toothpaste tubes. Then there are the combs and brushes, hair rubber bands, and other treasures to be discovered. These were minor discoveries. Then he learned how to open the toilet lid which led to great new adventures of splashing. I have encouraged the closing of bathroom doors since then. Occasionally the door is left open and he sneaks in. He thinks this a wonderful game and I have found him hiding in the corner of the bathroom grinning, just waiting to be sought out. There was only one bathroom in the picture until he learned to navigate the stairs–he now has access to three. He enjoys Adam’s and my bathroom downstairs a great deal. There are two drawers, sliding shower doors and shampoo bottles all within easy reach. Adam is missing a tube of toothpaste that has yet to be found. Yesterday the boys were all busy after supper. I eventually noticed Sebastian was missing from the chaos. I found him downstairs in the bathroom. The shower puff was in the toilet. The coffee table had been scrubbed (presumably by the said shower puff) and he was happily going through the motion of shaving his cheeks with Adam’s electric razor. He was quite sad to have his play put to an end.
