I do not have a green thumb. I would like to think that perhaps I am too busy growing children to give attention to proper care to other growing things, but I’m not sure that is the case. I am a fan of flowers like purple cone flowers and black-eyed susans which once in the ground tend to take care of themselves. Flowers in pots do not have a long life expectancy at my house. However, while I didn’t inherit my mother’s master gardener talent, I did inherit her enjoyment of flowers and was delighted when Adam came house with a pot of pretty pink flowers the week after Christmas. I am happy to say, the Christmas decorations are boxed away and still these pretty flowers have continued to add a bright colorful spot in our home. Adam told me he thought it was a personal record for me and that I should make note of it, so here they are:
