Hide and Seek

With the return of warm weather, the boys have welcomed with open arms the return of their beloved Emily. Poor Emily cannot walk outside without being beckoned over. If her garage is open they lurk in the front yard and look wistfully across the street willing her to come out to play. Even Sebastian joins his brothers in calling to her when we sees her and waving, and I think she thinks that is pretty cute. Along with playing catch, helping the big boys ride around the house on their bikes, and holding the little boys, she humors one of the boys’ favorite games, hide and seek. It takes a child’s imagination to play this in our yard, as there really are few places to hide, but occasionally someone finds a good spot. Sebastian, not to be left out of the fun, took over one of his brothers’ hiding places and waited with expectation to be found.

About Wendy McCollum

I am a single mom to five wonderful boys. Life is an adventure, with many twists and turns. We live in hope, always, for our great God can redeem all things. There are so many funny and precious moments that slip by too fast. Perhaps here I can save them for when my own memory fails.
