Friendly Competition

The seats in the van have been rearranged, Sebastian, much to his delight, is now forward facing and is positioned in the back row between Gabriel and Jack. Generally our car rides are pretty quiet and we listen to music or a story, but the first ride with Isaac and Stephen in the middle row was full of conversations. It apparently took too much effort to try to maintain conversation from the back seat, but with my ears now right in front of them, Isaac especially seized the moment and talked non-stop the entire way to church.

Having Sebastian in the middle has sparked some so far friendly competition between Jack and Gabriel over whom he belongs to. Today’s conversation went like this.

Gabriel: Sebastian is my brother.
Jack: He’s my brother too.
Gabriel: But he’s my friend.
