Winter is coming in full force this next week with the highs forecasted for negative and single digits and wind chills reaching as low as -40 degrees, so we seized this balmy winter day in the 20s to play outdoors. Unfortunately our yard is pretty boring in the winter when the snow won’t stick together to build with, so today we headed with our sleds over to Saint John’s. We found a perfect hill beside the baseball field for sledding which everyone participated in. Sebastian began by pushing everyone else down the hill but before the day was over was eager for his turn to ride. We discovered evidence of deer and rabbit and found the wing of a large bird. We visited Lake Sagatagan and walked across the lake to the chapel we often hike to and explored the part of the trail we can never navigate due to a stroller and a broken bridge. We examined holes cut by ice fishermen. Isaac suggested that the next time we bring a picnic to eat on the lake.
