Nonie’s House, part 2 by Wendy

The snow was wonderful. We got in late, but the boys were ready to go out first thing the next morning. They have come a long way since our time in Minnesota. It isn’t so hard for everyone to get warm clothes on. We aren’t quite so well equipped for snow as we used to be, but we had enough cast offs from Minnesota to keep everyone warm. It is a bit sobering to say that Jack was big enough to wear my snow coveralls and boots, though they were a little roomy. It was also a joy to enjoy the snow with them for a bit, but then to go inside and know they are all old enough to play outside unattended. They hung on to the snow as long as they could. Saturday turned warmer, with some sleet, but they played out in it anyway.

In addition to enjoying the snow, Jack and Gabriel managed to squeeze in some shop time with Grandpa. Gabriel made a paddle boat and Jack made some tools for the oven. Sebastian played with the wood scraps and vacuumed saw dust.IMG_2224

We had a great time. Adam and I even managed to get a picture of ourselves together. I sure do love this man!IMG_3857

About Wendy McCollum

I am a single mom to five wonderful boys. Life is an adventure, with many twists and turns. We live in hope, always, for our great God can redeem all things. There are so many funny and precious moments that slip by too fast. Perhaps here I can save them for when my own memory fails.
